Extensions you can add to your home

We’ve shown a typical London terraced house here, but please contact us for any other types of properties. Click on the icons below for more information.

Home Extension

Loft Conversion

Convert your existing loft with a roof extension, usually over the back of the main roof.

Generally, this is called a 'mansard' extension when covering the full width of the property, or a 'dormer' when a box type structure is added to the roof with space on either side.

Loft 'Pod' Extension

Add a roof extension over the rear addition on an L-shaped property. This is usually connected to a loft conversion over the main section of the property.

Different boroughs have slightly different policies on size and shape of this type of extension. We can advise you on your property depending on its location.

Ground Floor Wrap-around Rear Extension

On L-shaped properties, it is usually possible to do a wrap-around extension at the rear which infills the open side and then wraps around at the rear to extend backwards as well.

Sometimes the roof will need to be pitched down towards the boundary with the neighbours, but there are cases where part or all of the roof can be flat.

Ground Floor Rear Extension

Ground Floor Rear Extension

When your property doesn't have an L-shape, you can look to do a rear extension on the ground floor spanning the full width of the property.

Side Return Extension

Ground Floor Side Return Extension

if your property is an L-shape design, a side return extension can be build to infill the open space to the side of the rear addition.

Wrap-Around Extension

Ground Floor Wrap-around Rear Extension

This is another example of a ground floor wrap-around extension but with a flat roof, which is usually prefered as it feels more spacious.

Hip-to-Gable Loft Extension

loft conversion and extension

Hip to Gable Loft Extension

A hipped roof is usually found on a semi-detached or end of terrace property. The roof can be converted to a 'gable', with a 'dormer' added to the rear to make a fully converted roof space.
